If you’re serious about growing your network marketing business, you need one essential skill…
Writing that SELLS.
Whether it’s ads, emails, social posts, sales pages, or DM scripts, the way you communicate will make or break your business.
But here’s the problem…
Most network marketers write like they’re in corporate America, not in the trenches of real-world marketing.
❌ Overcomplicated sentences.
❌ Boring industry jargon.
❌ Confusing value propositions.
And the result? No engagement. No sales. No momentum.
But what if you could write like the TOP six and seven-figure earners in the industry?
What if you had a simple framework to make your content clear, persuasive, and impossible to ignore?
Well, here it is.
I call it the Network Marketer’s Writing Checklist—borrowed from the greatest marketers of all time (and tweaked to help YOU recruit, sell, and dominate).
1. Write at a 4th-5th Grade Reading Level
I’ll keep this one simple…
Confused people don’t buy.
If your content isn’t clear, it’s ignored.
🔥 Look at MrBeast. The biggest YouTuber in the world. His titles are SIMPLE. “I Survived 50 Hours in Antarctica.” No fluff. Just curiosity and clarity.
🔥 Look at Steve Jobs. When he introduced the iPhone, he didn’t say, “It’s an innovative mobile communication device with advanced touch interface technology.” He said, “It’s an iPod, a phone, and an internet device.”
🔥 Look at Donald Trump. Love him or hate him, his messaging works. Simple words. Short sentences. Big impact.
If a 10-year-old can’t understand what you’re saying, you’re losing prospects.
💡 Test this: After you write a post, read it out loud. If it feels clunky, rework it. If a kid wouldn’t get it, simplify.
2. Use Short, Punchy Sentences
Your prospects are BUSY.
Your audience is scrolling fast.
And if they see a giant block of text, guess what?
They skip it.
🔥 Instead of:
“When you think about the financial freedom that network marketing provides, you realize that this is an opportunity that allows individuals to take control of their income and build long-term wealth in a way that traditional jobs simply do not offer.”
🔥 Say this:
“Want financial freedom? This business gives you control over your income. Unlike a job, you OWN your paycheck.”
See the difference?
💡 Test this: Look at your last Facebook post or email. Break up long sentences. Add white space. Make it EASY to read.
3. Answer These Key Persuasion Questions in Your Copy
Every piece of content you create needs to answer these:
✅ What’s the #1 thing my audience wants? (Hint: Freedom. Time. More money.)
✅ What keeps them up at night? (Bills? Debt? Stress?)
✅ How does my product/business solve that? (Paint the vision!)
✅ How will it make them feel? (Confidence? Relief? Excitement?)
✅ What happens if they don’t take action? (Missed opportunity? More struggle?)
✅ What annoys them about current solutions? (Trading time for money? A 9-5 that sucks their soul?)
✅ What will the skeptics say? Do I have enough proof? (Address objections before they even ask.)
✅ What is my competition unwilling to do? (Are you making your offer better? Easier? Simpler?)
💡 Test this: Before you publish ANYTHING, scan your message. Did you answer these questions? If not, fix it before posting.
4. Use Clear, Compelling Transitions
Here’s what most people get wrong…
They write great hooks, but then lose their reader halfway through.
Why?
Because their writing feels disconnected.
You need seamless transitions that pull your reader from one idea to the next.
🔹 Example of BAD transitions:
“This business is life-changing. You can make money from home. Also, we have an event next week. Let me know if you want info.”
🔹 Example of GOOD transitions:
“So how does this actually work? Let me break it down…
👉 You plug into our system.
👉 You follow our daily method of operation.
👉 You start making money.
Simple. Duplicatable. Scalable.”
💡 Test this: Read your post as if you’re a total stranger. Does it flow naturally? If not, add bridges like:
- “Here’s why that matters…”
- “So what’s the next step?”
- “Let me show you how…”
5. Use Storytelling to Hook and Retain Attention
🔹 Facts tell.
🔹 Stories sell.
Want proof?
Go read any viral post.
It doesn’t start with data—it starts with a person, a problem, and a transformation.
🔥 Example:
BEFORE: “Network marketing creates financial freedom and passive income.”
AFTER: “I used to be drowning in credit card debt. Every month, I’d check my bank account and feel sick. Then I found this business. Today? I wake up to deposits, not overdrafts. If you’ve ever felt stuck, I get it. But there’s a way out.”
See the difference? Stories make people feel something. And emotion sells.
💡 Test this: Take your next post. Add a real-life story. Personalize it. Watch your engagement explode.
6. Edit Ruthlessly – Less Is More
80% of great writing is editing.
Most people: Write, publish, move on.
Smart marketers: Write, edit, simplify, THEN publish.
🔥 Cut fluff.
🔥 Remove filler words.
🔥 Make every word earn its place.
💡 Test this: Before posting, delete 20% of your words. Your writing will instantly be sharper.
7. Write Like You’re Talking to ONE Person
Your audience is not a crowd.
🔥 Instead of: “Hey everyone, let me tell you about this amazing opportunity!”
🔥 Say: “Hey—you. If you’re reading this, you’re probably looking for a way to make money online. Let’s talk.”
💡 Test this: Change “you guys” to just “you.” Notice how much more personal and direct it feels.
8. Keep a Swipe File of Great Copy
Want to get better at writing FAST?
Steal from the best.
📌 Screenshot ads that grab your attention.
📌 Save high-performing emails.
📌 Collect headlines that make you want to click.
🔥 Use them as inspiration.
🔥 Reverse-engineer what works.
🔥 Model (don’t copy) proven formulas.
💡 Test this: Create a Google Doc called “🔥 Fire Copy Swipe File.” Start adding everything that works.
